Home | USAAF/USAF Jackets | A-2 A-2 flight jackets are the most popular design by far. Started in 1931, they were issued well through WWII, and are often seen on pilots in the Korean War. There were a vast amount made, by more makers than I have listed below, but these are the most commonly seen contractors. Each maker has very distinct details for their design, so a jacket can usually be easily discerned by observing these details.
