About This Jacket:

This jacket is a beautiful example of Dubow's 23379 contract. This contract is interesting, in that the version with a collar stand no property label underneath (separate label with size) is very rare, while the same contract number with no collar stand and the additional Property label set is more common. Note that this rare example has the size tab stitched completely to the lining. It's most likely from either 1941 or 1942. The leather is consistent with Dubow's color and texture, having a beautiful russet tone. The epaulette box stitching is a little smaller than later jackets. For a size 42, the jacket has excellent proportions with the body and sleeves.
