About This Jacket:

This Star Sportswear jacket is a civilian model of almost exactly the same design as their WWII USAAF jackets. It's interesting how the jacket label states Styled by Kurland, which appears to be a trademark name which Star used for several decades on their commercial clothing. The jacket is a size 44, but fits more like a size 40 which is wide in the shoulders. The leather is thicker than most A-2s appear to be, and darker than an average Star. The lining is similar to a G-1 in material, and the hanger design is quite different from contract A-2s. The knits have a greenish tint to some of the wool threads. The condition of this jacket is quite solid.
