About This Jacket:

This jacket is well worn and has beautiful character. The jacket is typical of the 21996 contract, having a large back compared to most A-2s. This makes the body look quite roomy. The leather was originally a dark seal brown (definitely not re-dyed), and over time with use the finish has worn off in raised areas to a rust colored brown. The lining is quite solid except around the neck, where there's the usual damage. The inspector stamp number is X59. The knits are a strong orange color, which Aero used on several contracts, though the 21996 contract seems to have quite a number of jackets with these. The zipper is a Crown, and though the male insertion bar has come off, it still works quite easily.
