About This Jacket:

This Aero A-2 dates to 1938, though it has a label of a 1940 Aero. The label and jacket are from the same collector which sold the 1940 Aero on this site, so this label may be from that jacket. It is a very rare jacket, and the 1938 is distinguished by stitch lines along the knits in the leather. Other details of the 1938 Aero are a leather strip on the zipper in the lining left side, an early Talon zipper. Also, note the design of the throat clasps. The condition is well worn, being used in the China-Burma-India theater with the 14th AAF. This jacket has a great set of patches on it, which are often seen on jackets from this theater.
