About This Jacket:
Rough Wear Clothing Co. of Middletown, PA was a massive leather and cloth garment contractor
for the Army Air Corps and then the Army Air Forces. This Rough Wear A-2 is a beautifully preserved W535ac18091, and the contract is dated pre-WWII.
The contract was fulfilled in only goatskin, which often had a beautifully strong russet brown color. The jacket is lightly worn and retains all
the original parts,
which are in fantastic condition. The zipper is a pre-WWII straight Talon puller with the sunburst stopper, and the zipper tape for this
contract commonly appears to be tan. The knits are quite solid, too.
