About This Jacket:

This Star Sportswear jacket has seen much action, and must have been issued to more than one airman. The jacket has been over-sprayed a dark brown over the original light russet color at some point, and Army Air Forces decals were placed on it and the lining. The leather is thin and very dry feeling, so conditioner would be good for it. The jacket is quite small for a size 44, more like a 40, and the sleeves are quite tight. The pockets have a strong scallop shape to the flaps, and the sleeves are deeply inset. Note the very small AN inspector stamp.
