About This Jacket:
This Eastman Rough Wear reprodution is a fantastic version of the 1401-P contract. The jacket has the new
design which is a little tighter in the shoulders and torso. The leather is a very light-colored russet horsehide, which is very thin compared to almost all
repros. One can see beautiful shine and texture to the leather which is natural, and the color darkens with friction, such as the epaulettes show. The
leather also wrinkles very well when worn, since it's thin like many originals are. The shoulders are just a little longer than a comparable original Rough
Wear 18091 A-2, so they do drop of the shoulder edge a little, but it doesn't look wrong. The collar also sits well.
