This Dubow 27798 contract A-2 is quite large, and for a size 46, it fits very comfortably, especially when compared to the tighter shoulders of the size 46 Rough Wear on this site. The horsehide leather is beautiful, with a strong shade of russet, and it's slightly thin. The finish has areas of wear to the surface color, and a tan base can be seen through. The thread is a light green which fades to tan. This was a huge contract, most likely the largest that Dubow had. The larger sized jackets aren't too common, so having this 46 has been a treat. The patch is a State-side training unit, and the pilot flew in the first B-26 unit in England.
