About This Jacket:

This is a brand new example of a 2003 Eastman Star A-2. The sizing of this 44 is much like an original 46, and it fits me quite well. The leather is much darker than an average Star A-2, as most that I have seen are a medium to dark russet shade. I can see that over time the leather would be able to achieve some nice texture. The leather is also thinner than many repros, which I like, as the originals that I've handled aren't too thick, though they may be stiff. The thread is a pinkish brown color, which contrasts with the darker leather. The zipper is a Talon from WWII. Overall the design has a nice shape to it, being more trim in the chest and shoulders than previous Eastman Rough Wear jackets.
