About This Jacket:

Cable Raincoat of Boston, MA had two Army Air Force A-2 contracts. This one is the later of the two (denoted by the Property AAF statement), and is quite different in detail to the earlier contract (example also on this site). This jacket is in exceptional condition, and for a size 40, it fits somewhat closer to a 42. The jacket is made of goatskin, and has a beautiful shiny russet color. The snaps are bare metal, and of the same size with the collar and pocket flaps. And notice the wide outer lines of the pocket flaps. Note that the zipper is a Conmar, where some Cable A-2 jackets have Kwik zippers.
