About This Jacket:
This jacket has some amazing war art on it. The jacket didn't seem to get much action during the
war, but afterwards the leather and knits deteriorated rather significantly. The artwork still stands almost like when new, and tells the story
of the crewman who had the jacket. He flew on no less than 50 missions in the ETO, and the name of the aircraft reflects his age, as well
as the whole crew. They were young enough that they couldn't legally drink. Note that the crew or maybe even this airman was responsible
for the destruction of 7 German aircraft. |
