About This Jacket:

This a fine example of a russet horsehide A-2. The make, United Sheeplined, had one contract and worked out of Long Branch, New Jersey. This jacket is in solid shape and the horsehide is fantastic, with none of the severe wear that some A-2s suffer from. There are even no stitch holes from a nametag or patch. As a size 40, it fits far more like a 42 in general A-2 sizing. The cuff replacements are a joke, but those are easy to replace, and everything else is original to the jacket. Some details of note are the beveled pocket corners and the front and back seam being under, rather than behind, the epaulette.
