About This Jacket:
One of the rarest of A-2s is the small contract done by Cooper Sportswear, of Newark, New Jersey. This company
has lasted through 2006, having just closed their doors from what we can tell. The jacket has a number of interesting details,
such as the label, which is almost identical in shape and typeface as that of Rough Wear's 23380 contract,
and also the fact that a Conmar zipper, often found on Tankers, but rarely on A-2s, was used. The thread, also like
Rough Wear jackets, is a strong light green color which has faded to tan in exposed areas. The jacket came with a large grouping
of items that belonged to a liason AAF pilot who flew as a spotter for Army artillery.
