About This Jacket:
This United Sheeplined A-2 is in wonderful condition. The United
A-2s were often made with weaker leather, so finding examples that are in this condition are
somewhat rare. The jacket is 100% original in all its parts, and as a size 42, it's rather roomy,
almost equivalent of a size 44 I had of the same contract. The leather surface shows some wear,
and for some reason, a faint pattern can be seen on the surface, as if the leather were allowed to
dry after tanning on a grated surface. This is also commonly seen on USN sheepskin, and being that
the company is United Sheeplined, I wonder if they tanned their own leather and dried it in such a
manner. United Sheeplined was a company derived from family of I. Spiewak & Sons, which is still in
existance now, and had one A-2 contract in WWII.
