About This Jacket:
This jacket is from one no-name pre-WWII A-2 contract that was done in goatskin. The jacket is
in solid condition and at one time had several patches on it, and a USAAF shoulder stencil was applied. This contract had many very unique
details of construction that differ from most A-2s. The collar stand is made in a different manner than others, as is the zipper box, and the
waistband is sewn underneath it, rather than above. The pockets and other seams with top stitching have a large gap, where it's mostly a
thin second line of stitching. The pockets are often very close to the zipper. The Talon zipper is the older kind with a straight puller bar and
is usually painted brown, though the paint on this one has mostly worn off. The owner created the zipper pull bomb-tag.
