About This Jacket:
This is a fantastic A-2 flight jacket in wonderful condition. The original label has been removed, and
a Doniger A-2 label added to it (one can use photos to ensure this is true). These Spiewak jackets are somewhat rare, and often very well
made. Three details that are telltale Spiewak are the shoulder seam being under the epaulettes, rather than behind, the sleeves being inset,
and the collar being small in the back and pointy in the front tips. This jacket is made of russet goatskin, and this jacket's hide is very soft
and heavy. The leather is still in great shape, having just a little wear to the finish. The lining is still very solid, with no major cracking along
the neck line, and the knits are also still strong. The cuffs have been replaced, but it was done well with a matching color and weave. The
jacket fits quite large on me as a 46, and is very comfortable, in the shoulders, sleeve, and body length.
