The G-1 55J14 series of jackets date from 1947 to 1951. It appears the Navy started to have a need for new jackets
in 1947 once the WWII stock was used up. The jackets were made by a number of different companies, and just as can be seen
with WWII jackets, each maker had construction details that were unique to them.
