About This Jacket:

This 55J14 G-1 comes from one of the rarest contracts I've found to date. I've only seen three of these jackets. They're most likely from the late 1940's, as that's the date of the Talon zipper, which this contract seems to have only been made with. The leather is beautiful, with nice highlights of wear. The jacket design is close to WWII Navy jackets, with a small back panel, and the sleeves are quite short in relation to the body. The wind flap is large. The USN stencil on the collar appears to be hand-painted: maybe they hadn't completed their stencil design yet? Others have a different USN stencil. Note the interesting hanger loop design.
