About This Jacket:
This Eastman G-1 is a fine example of a Navy jacket that dates from about 1947. They've copied an
L.W. Foster contract 55J14 jacket, and the details are accurate. There is a slightly large gap of the joint between the shoulder tips and the top
of the bi-swing back, as well as the outer sides of the back belt with the bi-swing back. The leather tends to be rather thick, but the finish is nice
and shows wear quite well, so overall it's a nice jacket. Compare this to the early Foster on this site. |
