About This Jacket:

This jacket is a great example of Star Sportswear's second 55J14 contract. This contract is noteworthy of having very dark and smooth goatskin, which stands up to use and age very well. This jacket has extremely reddish knits, which is very unusual, though several others from this contract have been seen with these red knits. Note the very large shoulders which are in contrast to other makers of the period. Also, this is a very large 44, more like a 46. The size tab is still in the jacket, which is somewhat rare.
