The AN-6552 contracts were issued for six months in 1943, but the quantities of jackets produced were much higher than the later
contracts for the AN-J-3A, which technically lasted longer. The jackets are very close to the M-422A design, though it should be noted that
every maker had their own details of construction, as can be seen with the M-422A jackets.
