About This Jacket:
The contract for this jacket dates to 1943. This jacket will make an interesting comparison to
the size 40 Bogen AN-6552 on this site. It's well worn and has medium brown leather, where you can see a lot of the top coat has
faded to show a yellowish base color. The size, being one higher than the 40, is somewhat close in dimension to the 40, though a
bit longer. The collar is smaller, and the lining has a more brown color than the reddish lining of the size 40. These are classy looking
jackets, and I wish I had a size 44. The pockets are close to the zipper, like Cagleco G-1s, and the sleeves appear to be slightly inset.
The design of the back is more like later G-1 jackets, with the seam between the front and back leather being directly below the armpit,
where other WWII makers had that seam farther back, with a narrower belt. Bogens aren't as rare as some jackets, but certainly not
easy to find.
