About This Jacket:
This AN-6552 is probably the best Navy jacket I've ever had, and it's a great
example of the many unique jacket designs that existed in the WWII period. The features noticable on Bogen jackets are an A-2 style
waistband, use of a number of leather pieces to make the zipper and lining intersection, US stencil, and an angled wind flap top. The
belt seam is similar to the Gordon & Ferguson design, having the front leather panel sewn over the back panel. The size is 40, but it
seems closer to a 42 or 44. The thick mouton is a beautiful honey brown, and the leather has a dark seal brown shiny character, much
darker than the other Bogen jacket in this collection. The torso is quite tight on me. Note the quotes around the Property statement on the label.
