About This Jacket:
This type of jacket is rare to have survived the last 60 years. The M-421A is a summer weight
jacket issued to Navy flight personnel, and is often found in WWII South Pacific photos. This jacket is made by Willis and Geiger, one
of the largest Navy contractors in the war, and one of high quality. This particular jacket is still in very solid condition, and has all its
original components. While some of these jackets have USN stamped onto the inner pocket, this jacket doesn't. As a size 42, the
jacket is rather small, though it may have shrunk over time.
