About This Jacket:
This Werber Sportswear G-1 has been through a lot of wear, and the leather has developed
much character from it. The jacket has paint and some mold stains, all of which are superficial, and other elements are still strong.
The leather is very soft and somewhat thin, though not as thin as some jackets from the 1950s. The lining is almost perfect, still
sturdy and of a nice purple color. The mouton has had a couple areas where there are bald spots. The waistband is good, but the
cuffs have gotten a couple big holes, though they could be repaired. The zipper is an odd Talon which Werber contracted from
Canada, and the slider is gone, so I've replaced it with a repro Talon slider. Werbers are noted for having a short body in proportion
to the sleeve, a large wind flap, pockets close to the zipper, tight sleeves, a second seam in the leather that connects to the lining,
a small zipper box, and a very wide back panel.
