About This Jacket:

This Star Sportswear G-1 is in great condition, and fits a little large for it's tagged size 44. The jacket is a MIL-J-7823D model, which features an A-2 style waistband and fake mouton, but still retains the black and silver label. There was overlapping of contract orders, as the 7823E series was begun in 1969, and this 7823D series dates to 1970. The cuffs look identical to jackets from ten years earlier, as does the goatskin, but the design is a little different, such as the lining and how the label is positioned in it. Note that the zipper is a Scovill, which was Conmar until around 1968.
