About This Jacket:
This jacket is a fine example of one contractor that made many G-1s in the late 1960s and
early 1970s. The jacket is in almost new condition, and shows some minor wear. Though it's a size 44, the jacket fits more like a
common 42. The goatskin leather is thick, and has beautiful character throughout. The mouton is very thick and of a strong orange
hue. The 7823D series was the first to be made only with the A-2-style folded waistband, and this one has a very heavy Conmar
zipper. On the label, (WP) stands for Bureau of Weapons, through which flight jackets were distributed.
