About This Jacket:
This is one interesting jacket, which is made of the exact design and materials of L.W. Foster's
QM(CTM) contract series of jackets. This jacket has a civilian label from Irvin Foster (Lou's brother), but underneath is a label from L.W.
Foster's contract series. The jacket may have been a Navy reject or training jacket, as there are a number of details missing with
contract jackets should have. The stitch lines in the leather above the waistband and cuffs are missing, and the stitching isn't done
in Foster's usual high quality. The wind flap also has no USN perforation. The cuffs appear to be made of some kind of synthetic material, though
they are original to the jacket. The rest of the jacket could be considered identical to a contract jacket.
