About This Jacket:
This jacket came to me in rather poor condition, as the collar and knits were in very tough
condition (the knits were not original to the jacket). The contract is the last in which L.W. Foster used their WWII design, and later
contracts had the rounded pocket flap design (Amendment #2 contract is the first). Note that Foster's design had a pen pocket sewn
into the left pocket exterior, as did the Gordon & Ferguson design. These were the only two companies to do this. The collar, lining,
and knits of this jacket were replaced by Gibson & Barnes.
