Home | U.S. Navy Jackets | G-1: MIL-J-7823C Series
The G-1 MIL-J-7823C series of jackets are considered by some to be the last of the nicer G-1 jackets. They
were made around 1963-1967. The series
is the first in which some are made with folded A-2-style waistbands, rather than the rib-rack design that's a single piece. This
is also the first series in which the zippers aren't oxidized to a black finish, but are now bare brass. Some jackets in this series
have chocolate goatskin, rather than the very dark goatskin seen on the 7823A and B jackets.
