About This Jacket:
This is a beautiful original L-2A, in quite good condition. The jacket has seen reasonable wear, but
is still very solid throughout. The nylon appears to have no holes or pulls, and the lining is immaculate. The knits are also free of damage
common to old wool. The USAF shoulder stencil is barely present, most likely from the jacket being dry-cleaned. The zippers work great,
though the main zipper has a separation along the male insertion bar. Note that the jacket is rather large for a size 42. The owner of the jacket,
LaVerne Strange, shot down a MiG-15 in the Korean War, and was subsequently downed himself by the debris of the MiG. He survived the
incident.
