About This Jacket:
This jacket is another example from the San Antonio Air Depot. They also had a contract
in 1942 for a D-1, as well as B-1 sheepskin mechanics pants, which was made with a black label. This jacket is in much
better shape than the other on this CD, and has a number of differences.
Note that the front panel of sheepskin has an angled
seam, rather than the horizontal one on the other jacket. Also, note that the information impressed into the back at the neck
states PT.NO.37K5510...most likely meaning Part Number. The other jacket on this CD states TP.NO.37K5510 - maybe a
typographical error on an earlier jacket. As a size Medium, this jacket is quite large. |
