About This Jacket:
This jacket is a great reproduction of a WWII AAF mechanics D-1, and the label is a copy of
one by Western Leather Clothing Company. These jackets were issued to aircraft mechanics in colder areas of the war, and even
airmen would use them. Real McCoy's of New Zealand made this jacket, and it's the best sheepskin repro I've ever seen. The
sheepskin looks just like the kind from WWII, though it has a little more yellow a tint than I've seen on most originals. The finish
shows wear exactly like originals, and has identical color and shine. The trim is also excellent, and has been aged by its first
owner. The overall cut of the jacket is perfect, with sleeves that are a little long for the body, as originals are.
