About This Jacket:
This jacket is one beautiful example from 1942. The maker is Werber, who had numerous
contracts with the AAF but it would seem in lower numbers than most contracts. The condition of this jacket is fantastic, with only
a crack in the collar which I'm in the process of fixing. The sheepskin is seal brown and the horsehide trim is russet. For a size 42R,
the jacket fits me well, though it would be tight with a sweater underneath. I can't imagine this jacket was used that much, as there
aren't serious signs of heavy wear, just some surface scratches to the horsehide.
