About This Jacket:
This is most likely an unused B-3 from WWII. There appears to be no signs of usage, as can be
seen by the still-straight sheepskin fur. The jacket has the first B-3 design, with a two piece back, where later versions have a large panel
seam along the back top. The color of the jacket is an early 'redskin' or russet, which is appropriate for pre-WWII jackets, where later
jackets were colored seal brown, in a faster tanning method. Though the zipper has corroded in a closed position, one can easily tell what
a great example this is. H.L.B. Corp made a good number of jackets for both the Army Air Force and the Navy in the 1940s.
