About This Jacket:

This jacket is a rather massive example from Aero Leather of Beacon, NY, with a contract date of 1942. The design is the second version of the B-3, with a three piece back and single piece on the body under the arms. This, and the seal brown color, are known as the wartime design. The jacket is a bit large on me. The sheepskin is soft and feels to be quite stable, with only a couple small cracks. The main sheepskin is colored seal brown, and the trim is russet, though the sleeves are rather dark in their tanned color. The zipper was replaced with a Talon that's late WWII. Also added was a USAAF shoulder stencil. At some point the shoulder tabs were removed, and I've added new ones with veg-tanned leather that looks accurate to the trim.
