About This Jacket:
This jacket is one of the large complex Navy Transport coats used by aircrews in WWII. This
type of jacket is often seen being used in England on aircraft that performed anti-submarine patrols. This jacket dates to 1940-1943, and
this one appears to be newer than others which would have an older contract number system, like NXs-5133. Gordon & Ferguson had several contracts for this type
of coat. The condition is excellent, and it only exhibits some wear to the leather and lining. Note the differences in color between this
jacket and the Edmund T. Church version in this photo collection.
