About This Jacket:
This jacket provides more details that illustrate the differences between each maker of the
M-445/M-445A/M-445B series of Navy jackets. This one is made with dark faced sheepskin, and the goatskin trim is slightly lighter and
more reddish. The design is similar to the H.L.B. Corp jacket in this photo collection, with differences of the sleeve end leather being longer,
the pockets being taller, and the flaps being a little different. Otherwise, the basic later design is the same, with two buttons to
close the bottom end of the zipper, rather than a full length zipper, and a goatskin wind flap. Note that Willis & Geiger decided to
place the label on the interior goatskin, rather than the back of the neck, as did H.L.B. Corp. Earlier W&G jackets have the label in the neck.
