About This Jacket:
This jacket was made by Real McCoy's New Zealand, and it's a great representation of a WWII M-422a.
The design is a copy of Gordon & Ferguson's M-422a, and it's pretty close. The pockets are a little large and close to the zipper in comparison, but
the rest of the jacket is accurate, and very close to a size 48 original I had. The leather is wonderful, with rich grain and very cool warping that has
developed with hot water treatment. The leather is also thinner like originals. The lining is identical to the more reddish linings seen on originals. The
mouton is a little thick compared to an original, but still good. The knits are identical to originals, and even have shown worn like originals. The left
pocket is a little large than the right, and has a pocket slot sewn into the face, as Gordon & Ferguson designs show. The label is also excellent. |
