About This Jacket:
This jacket is a very nice example of a Block M-422A, and it has a complete label, which
is vary rare. The design is clear with this jacket, having short sleeves, an ample torso, very square shoulders, a pleated lining, and
of special note is the vertical section of leather under the armpits- the front leather only extends to behind the pocket, and a piece
is placed between it and the back belt seam. The leather is thick and soft, usual for Block jackets. The USN stencil has either worn
off or was removed. It would seem that Block jackets are the only M-422As that had brass Talon zippers, though other jackets could
have them - I've not seen any at this point. Also note that the grommets are sewn, not metal pieces. The knits are reddish, another
common trait of Block jackets.
