This is a nice large example from Fried, Ostermann. The jacket is in fantastic condition, which allows one to see the many details which Ostermann jackets are known for. The gusset seam on the arm, unique large wind flap design, double-ply waistband, small shoulders, large collar, non-painted inner pocket snap, beveled corners on the pocket flaps, and double-stitched back belt are details which Ostermann jackets are known for. Ostermann goatskin is frequently thick and somewhat stiff, and may be of a dark russet to an almost black shade.
