About This Jacket:
The Flight Suits, or Gibson & Barnes M-422a is a nice example of an American reproduction,
but does have some challenges in the details. The overall design is quite close to a Gordon & Ferguson M-422a, of which they
base their pattern. The leather is rather flat from what I've seen so far, and with modern tanning techniques, it looks quite uniform
in both color and pebbling, where vintage goatskin would have more character. The knits are excellent in color and weave, and the
mouton looks much like WWII mouton. The jackets tend to run large for their ticketed size, so a 40 fits me well.
