About This Jacket:
This jacket is an astounding example from Edmund T. Church. The condition of the jacket is
excellent, with minor wear to the cuffs. The leather is vegetable tanned goatskin, with a nice reddish tone. The goatskin is somewhat thin and
very soft. The lining is brown, where some M-422As by Church have red linings, as the size 42 in this collection has. The mouton collar is nearly perfect, and the USN stencil is black.
The knits are great except for each cuff having a break at the seam, which is easy to fix. The design of Church jackets has the front
leather panels being sewn over the back on the shoulder and under the arms on the body. Note the large sleeve ends and shoulders.
Edmund T. Church became Burjac Sportswear in the middle of WWII.
