About This Jacket:

This jacket most likely dates to the 1940's and appears to be a civilian model of an M-422A. The jacket has goatskin of the same character of WWII jackets, and the mouton appears to be, too. The size is a roomy 44. I replaced the original knits, which were like an A-2 and had a brown-green color. The original label is gone, but it was too small to be military. I've added an Aero of Scotland label. The zipper is a typical 1940's civilian model Conmar, the only difference being the puller bar shape. There's no throat latch or related buttons, nor is there a pencil slot in one of the pockets. No USN stencil, either. The jacket doesn't conform to any particular known maker, so I really have no idea who made it. It's still a beautiful example, even better than the design of some known makers.
