About This Jacket:
This jacket is a pristine example of a 1943 AN-J-2, which is also known as an AN-6551 (the leather
AN-6552 is also an AN-J-3, but AN-J-3 was never added to the label, while it's on the contract paperwork). These jackets are what was
produced right after the M-421A, and have a significantly different design. There are four pockets, rather than three or two, and the collar
is now rounded, not pointed. There is also no inner pocket or US/USN stencil. This particular jacket is in such new condition, the water
repellant is still fresh, and there are no signs of any thread or fabric pulls anywhere. As a size 44, it fits me perfectly.
