The AN-6551 series of jackets are what replaced the M-421A contracts, and the contracts were only issued for six months in 1943.
The jackets are very similar to the M-421A design, but there are some differences to note. The collar has rounded ends at the front, the sleeves
don't have any reinforcement cloth, there's no inner pocket, and the jacket is now made with four pockets on the front.
