This series of jackets are the precurser of the CWU-45/P and CWU-36/P Nomex flight jackets. Started in 1973, this series shares
the same part number, MIL-J-833388, with these earlier models having no letter at the end, or A. The design is a bit different than current
CWU jackets, in that the back has a bi-swing pleat and the lining has an orange rescue cloth in a pouch, connected to the jacket by velcro.
