About This Jacket:
This jacket is a great example of an American-made repro B-15C. The company made
many USAF repros in the early 1990's, and I think they were reasonably priced. The jacket has great blue nylon, which is thick
and has good texture. The color of blue is also exrtemely accurate to 1950's jackets. The inner batting is thick and heavy, and
has a slight cotton-wool smell. The lining nylon is slightly thinner than the outer shell, which would be accurate to originals.
The mouton may be fake, but I really cannot tell the difference between it and real mouton. The knits are also identical to
originals in weave, weight, and feel. The zippers aren't accurate to anything from the 1950's, but from five feet away, it's hard to
see the difference. The overall design is quite accurate, as the jacket is wide and somewhat short. Overall it's a great
reproduction of a B-15C. |
