We've gotten a 2.5 ounce russet Horween Chromexcel® horsehide and this is the first test model of the leather. We really like it. It's a little thinner than Shinki horsehide, and has a beautiful pull-up finish. The jacket is comfortable, and unlike some Chromexcel horsehides cut to 4 ounce weight, this 2.5 ounce is easy to wear, and gets wrinkles as vintage horeshide from the 1940s does.

This jacket is also a test of a different format of pocket that we like. These pockets are lined just like our regular Ventura pockets, but are a little more vertical in cut, and have the exterior stitching.

This jacket is made with a nicely matching cotton lining, brown viscose-acetate sleeve lining, vintage Kwik chest zipper and vintage Kwik main slider on a reproduction brass zipper, and brass buckles. Otherwise, the body is identical to our regular Ventura design. We have used our Rainier Clothing Co. vintage-style label as well.

This jacket will ideally fit a person who is 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest circumference of 42-44", and weight of 175-210 pounds.
